G-Archiver — Back up your GMail and send your password to the author

Quite unbelievable.

Could something like this happen with open source software?  Absolutely, but I wouldn’t have to use a .NET decompiler to find out.

    Something like this could happen /theoretically/ with open source, but I don’t think it would survive the first ethical contributor to join the project. In practice, I don’t believe it’s a serious risk if there’s more than a few serious contributors to the project.
