		<description>Hey,

Love your site.

I got a new laptop (MacBook) and went abut getting python all setup. Python 2.5.1 shipped with OS X but without IDLE. Not realizing this I went ahead and installed numpy, matplotlib and gdal modules. All my old scripts using gdal worked fine. I then decided to upgrade to python 2.5.2. I did and then couldn't import my old modules, so I reinstalled numpy and matplotlib and both of those work fine. However, I can't for the life of install GDAL. I have compiled from source and installed in that way and also used the easy_install GDAL method. When I do the easy_install method it tells me that GDAL 1.5.0 is already the active version in easy-install.pth The problem is, I still cannot import the gdal module.

Any ideas or help for a helpless newb?

Thanks,
