Allan Doyle of EOGEO starts blogging

Saturday, October 15th, 2005

I first met Allan at the 2nd Annual MapServer conference in Ottawa, although he might not remember me from that. His organization, EOGEO, provides support to developing government organizations and NGOs looking to deploy geospatial tools to do all kinds of neat things.

One of the more interesting projects he has been working on lately is the GeoRSS specification. I pledge my support to actually use GeoRSS once it becomes available, unlike my lackadaisical support for podcast enclosures :)

Some New Duds

Hopefully the site is quite a bit faster as I’ve moved it to my new server.

Some other interesting things I did included setting up a ZEO instance and worked through the migration proceedures in preparation for migrating the MapServer website at http://ms.gis.umn.edu that I have been working on for quite a while.
